Giant Tesla Semi truck lithium battery combusts as driver escapes fire that closed I-880
In what may be the first spontaneous combustion of a Tesla Semi battery, the truck caught fire on Interstate 880 in California. The driver managed to escape, but the burning Semi now presents a major challenge for the fire department.
